Tipsy
AKA: Tipothy, Tips, Tippy
Birthday:
October 31 2021
(estimate, adopted Oct 24 2022)
Personal Beliefs:
everything can be chewed on if you’re persistent enough
Likes:
blankets (being on them, under them, wrapped up, chewing on them, etc)
toys bigger than her
playing “bitey-grabby” where she bites and grabs me, or Logan
loafing, which I call slug time
Dislikes:
necessary bath time
bedtime/being put in her Tippy Safety Zone when I leave the house
Her Story:
After my cat Mylo passed in 2019, I wasn’t ready for another cat for quite some time. In 2021, I was casually scrolling through petfinder (as one does) and I saw a beautiful special needs ragdoll cat, Tipsy. I was instantly obsessed, and sent her profile to my family and friends just to share how cute she was.
Clearly, I couldn’t stop thinking about her. After a few weeks of deliberation, I decided I was going to apply to adopt her— and I did! It felt like winning the lottery. Logan was so excited to have another kitty in the house again, too.
Tipsy has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. The cerebellum is not connected to the rest of her brain, which affects her motor control. It doesn’t get worse, or better, and does not cause her pain. She cannot jump, and rarely runs, but she wiggles her way through life without a care in the world!
PS- the first picture in her slideshow is the first picture I saw of her!!
